Cushing Home

Nestled on the shores in Cushing, Maine, this home, built in the early 1970s, served as a vacation spot for its previous owners since built.

The renovation, taking over a year to complete, transformed this summer retreat into a year-round residence. The many updates and changes struck a modern vibe. An entry connector was added between the main house and the "bunkhouse" turning the first floor of the bunkhouse into a new master wing. Many walls were relocated, insulation added, and drywall applied throughout. The majority of the property had open framing exposed to the interior prior to our start. James Hardie panel siding was the choice to replace the old board and baton siding. All new mechanical systems were installed throughout along with an added mini split heat pump system. A custom Kitchen was installed along with a corner fireplace just off the kitchen space.

This was a real fun project to watch take shape and transform.
