Getting started on your project
Step 1: Initial Contact
The process usually starts with a phone call or email. During that initial communication, a brief description of your project and your desired timeline is shared with us. If we believe we can meet your timeline, we will set up a scheduled meeting with you to get a better understanding of the details of your project.
Step 2: In-Person Meeting
The initial in-person meeting is often held at the project site or in your home. If plans are already drafted, they would be shared with us at this time. Once we have a sense of your project’s scope and scale, we would then produce some rough project numbers for you to review, to make sure we are within your budget expectations. Then we will begin looking deeper into the specific details of your project.
Step 3: Draft Plans and Finalize Pricing
Depending on the level of details you are looking for in your plans, we would either offer our drafting services to create the plans, or recommend a Designer/Architect. In-house design creation and drafting services are done on an hourly basis. Once you are satisfied with the level of detail shown in the plans, we will share it with various team members to finalize pricing for your project. Once firm numbers for your project are established and receive approval from you, we will generate your contract.
Step 4: Contract
We view contracts as a tool to help us better communicate with you. In your contract will be your project’s details, room by room. We outline what is and what is not included. A project’s timeline is communicated, as well as when payments will be requested, which are always tied to specific progress points. We will also detail how we will handle increases and decreases to the project’s scope of work.
