Rec Area

Construction

Lincolnville, Maine

This recreation area was a project we took on for a local business. Although outside the norm for the types of projects we normally take on, it proved to be a lot of fun to assemble and watch it take shape.

It included horseshoe pits, a commercial grade play set, a pavilion for picnic lunches, and a volleyball and basketball court. Once the owner established their desired elevation for rough grade for the site, we prioritized the construction of the concrete retaining wall and slab for the post and beam pavilion. The Willy Goat play set and horseshoe pits were assembled and a layer of pea stone was added to bring up the finished play surfaces. A heavy layer of beach sand topped off the volleyball area and once the basketball court was paved, a local line painting company put the finishing touches on the basketball court. It became a great space to spend time simply having fun!
